Clinik.Kathmandu announces registrations open for the first Documentary Incubation Workshop for filmmakers in nascent stages of conceptualizing a project and for documentary enthusiasts. The workshop will be held between 3 - 7 October, 2018 in Kathmandu.

Clinik.Kathmandu concluded its fourth edition of the Writing Lab on the 5th of June at Ehwa in Dhulikhel, Kathmandu. This provided an opportunity for seven filmmakers to participate with their fiction projects who will now be using the Fiction Development program to further develop their projects for a one year period in collaboration with Clinik.Kathmandu.
It was only in June 2017 that Abhaya Simha brought his project PADDAYI to Clinik Writing Program, the film is now complete and geared to be at festivals around the world.
A modern day take on Shakepear’s Macbeth in Tulu (indigenous language spoken in the coastal region of Karnataka), PADDAYI will be shown to a limited Tulu audience in Theaters and banks on its plan to be shown to more festivals and seeks alternative sales methods. 'Women in Cinema' will provide the Clinik labs platform to women filmmakers as a fellowship. This is a fully paid support based on selection. Application is open until 20 April.
The fellowship is open for women filmmakers with minimum 3 years of working experience who qualify to apply to the Project Support Process of Clinik.Kathmandu(check website for details). The fellowship lasts for a year during which time the program aims to closely support the completion of the 'Development Phase' of the film being developed by the filmmaker.
