Clinik Regional Workshop

Or Ehwa Foundation Program has been designed with the purpose of providing key set of skills to amateur filmmakers and film groups that are working with different forms of cinema in South Asia.

Clinik Regional Workshop aims at encouraging dialogues on professional production and better understanding of social theories and linked tools of human rights and legal frameworks that largely support cinema making today.

The workshop focuses on shared knowledge on diverse production practices from the region and promotes close working approaches between participants.

The workshop runs parallel with the Clinik.Kathmandu (Production Lab). The process allows participants to work closely with advanced cinema practitioners from the region as collaborators for projects being designed at the training.The regional workshop includes topics of media law, policy review, local and global producing, co-production among others.

 

1 short film with maximum 15-minute duration will be developed in the course of the workshop.

At the end of the workshop participants take away credible information to run independent short or feature productions and to oversee line producing for clients. The lab will equip participants with concepts relating contemporary cinema development and challenges presented by local and international markets.

 

Expect lawyers, development workers, professors, filmmakers, activists, policy members coming onboard as advisors.

 

The workshop is open to filmmakers or other visual art practitioners who have at least 2 years of work experience in personal or commissioned work. Students from film and media school can apply who are in their last year of studies.

 

Participation is subject to selection. A maximum of 8 positions are available.

 

Application is open till: 16th August 2016

The 2016 workshop will be held between 16th - 30th October 2016

Month long residency: Continues after the workshop from 30th of October 2016
